BBC News announced the details yesterday through an article published in their online news portal written by the Chief F1 writer, Mr. Andrew Benson. In the news, McLaren already made a final decision and chose Jenson Button to drive with Fernando Alonso next season.
It was yesterday that McLaren declared that their line-up for 2015 would include Jenson Button who would team up with Fernando Alonso. It took the team a long time to decide if they would retain Button or Kevin Magnussen in their team. Although Button was the choice, Magnussen will still be part of the team as a reserve and test driver.
The McLaren Chairman, Mr. Ron Dennis gave a statement describing the Button-Alonso team-up as the best line-up for next year. He added that both of the drivers have been into 500 Grand Prix when combined and have won a total of forty-seven races.
Meanwhile, driver Jenson Button also gave his overwhelming reaction to the McLaren Team’s decision of choosing him over Kevin Magnussen. He said that he really wanted to be part of the team and drive for them in the scheduled Grand Prix in 2015. He also added that he was indeed pleased to be invited by McLaren to do his part next year.
Partnering with Jenson Button is the 33-year-old driver, Fernando Alonso who in the history of the Formula 1 races won two of the world championship titles in the past years. Alonso was able to sign in with McLaren after he left his former Ferrari team.
