Honda has made its Civic Type R, Civic Si and even Fit flashier and sportier than ever. The upgrade comes in the form of accessory kits — the Red Carbon kit for Type R and HFP Series kits for both Civic and Fit.
The Red Carbon kit has complete carbon fiber parts like door mirror covers, rear wing spoiler and some non-carbon bits like an indoor car cover, illuminated center console, red leather shift knob, and “R”; logo sill plates. What makes the kit special is that parts have a red fiber woven into the carbon. The complete kit will cost $2,697.
The HFP Series kit for the Civic Si has full functionality of the adaptive shocks and a stiffer suspension components for improve handling. Other items in the kit include the 19-inch HFP wheels, a red front spoiler, body-color side skirts, and red floor mats. The kit is $3,999 for both sedan and coupe.
As for the Honda Fit, the HFP Series kit provides primarily visual upgrades— 16-inch wheels, spoilers front and rear, a leather shift knob, sport pedals, and HFP floor mats. The suspension is also lowered by one inch. The Honda Civic hatchback has a similar package too.
On a standard automatic Fit, the kit costs $2,799 and $2,999 for the standard manual type. For the Fit Sport, the kits are $300 less each. On the Civic hatchback, a standard model calls for a kit worth $2,999 while Honda Civic Sport can be upgraded for $2,499.
All of the HFP parts for the the Civic Si and hatchbacks are also available a la carte if one wants to save some bucks. Kits will be available through local Honda dealers by November 20.
