Although the prototype being tested resembles the current F-Pace S model, it is easy to spot the difference with this suspected F-Pace SVR: it has a much aggressive front fascia design and an equally aggressive quad-tip arrangement for its stock exhaust tips. And oh, the sound you hear in the video indicates that the beast has a V-8 engine.

Under the hood is a 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 producing 550 horsepower. It is paired to an 8-speed automatic and standard all-wheel- drive system which should easily deliver 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds or less. Its maximum speed will likely be around 155 mph.

The Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations will undoubtedly rely on tuning lessons learned from the Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR and the Range Rover Velar programs. Its suspension will cater to race tracks and the wheels, tires and brakes are massively upgraded accordingly.

The major focus of this car is the weight reduction. Since, the standard F-Pace is already at 4,000 pounds, weight-saving modifications like composite materials in the construction, light alloy wheels and a titanium exhaust are very much welcome.

Possible rivals of the F-Pace SVR are Porsche Macan, Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, Turbo, Mercedes-AMG GLC63, Audi RS Q5, and BMW X3 M.

The 2019 F-Pace SVR will be on the roads by first half of 2018. Get ready for that!
