Aston Martin has partnered with Italian auto designing firm, Zagato, to develop a design for a car that can go together with the DB4 GT Zagato that they’ll release soon in a modern fashion.
The car is to be modeled after the DBS Superleggera but if you ask me, and if you’ve seen the teaser videos, you’ll understand that the new car doesn’t look like a DBS Superlight in anyway.
But my agents have told me, despite Aston Martin being very vague about this fact, that the engine used on the new car is said to be the 5.2L Twin-Turbo Aston Martin developed V-12 that will produce 715 horsepower and 664 pounds-feet of torque.
Also, since the new car (which doesn’t seem to have a name yet) is to have the same 8 speed automatic gearbox that the DBS has. Also, it’s been said that the car is to have a sprint time of 3 seconds when it accelerates to sixty from a standing start. That’s only 0.2 seconds faster than the DBS Superleggera.
This is to continue the legacy of the DB4 GT Zagato that sold for about $2 Million back in 2012 and expect the same price for this one. If I didn’t know any better, this car might exceed that Two Million Dollar price tag.
The DB4 GT Zagato is the first part of Aston Martin’s DBZ Century Collection which is set to produce $8 Million after all cars have been sold and it’s possible that there will be 4 or 5 cars in the lineup with one already sold and another on the way.
If you can afford the steep price.
