Pininfarina to launch a pure electric hypercar in 2019

Now, we know that Pininfarina is the world’s most popular auto design company from Italy that is now owned by the Indian company Mahindra. Recently, they also launched Automobili Pininfarina, an all-electric car company. And their first car is set to be a hypercar.

They’re secretly building a car called the H2 Speed, which they will only sell 12 cars, that uses hydrogen instead of electricity and sell to customers late this year. It’ll have a top speed of 186 mph and a 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds. Price? $2.5 Million.

Now, they’re building another one named the “PFO”, the car is going to launch later in 2019. This car will utilize Formula E technology from their parent company, Mahindra, and also another company called Rimac.

This car is a budget hypercar, if you think about it. And in order to explain, I need to be a bit boring.

The car will do the 0-60 mph sprint in just 1.7 to 1.8 seconds and, it’ll hit 186 mph in just 11.++ seconds and has a top speed well over 250 mph. Plus, the car is said to have a range of 310 miles. And all this for a base price of just $2.5 Million.

That’s the same amount of money you pay for an Aston Martin Valkyrie, Aston Martin Vulcan, Ferrari F60 America, Ferrari FXX-K, Koenigsegg Agera RS, Lamborghini Centenario, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, Mercedes-Benz Project One and a Pagani Huayra BC.

It’s a mouthful but if you really think hard about it, All those cars, apart from the Project One, are all dangerous to the environment and none of them can hit the 0-60 in less than 2 seconds nor can they hit the 250 mph mark.

See what I mean? All that power, performance and range for $2.5 Million?

It’s a steal.
